Stick to your guns.Making big moves forward requ Stick to your guns.Making big moves forward requires boxing out toxic people. When you do this, people can get it confused. They liked the little bit of power they may have held over you, and cutting the cord can cause them to fear they are losing control. They'll try to make you feel guilty or insecure about your new path.We have no time to get into arguments and petty squabbles; we're headed for something better. It's vital to remember your reasons for creating the boundaries in the first place.Write them down, review them from time to time, especially when someone you know is a detractor attempts to get back into your good graces for whatever reason.Have a plan to keep people that are toxic to your growth at a safe distance.Create the space you need to thrive and defend it with self-love, honesty, and compassion for the others' insecurities and fears.Parasites must find new blood when detached from a host so keep their claws out of you and let them to on their merry way.Respect yourself, respect your mission, and press forward.

There's a feeling I come across with people more o There's a feeling I come across with people more often recently - a sense of "oppression."

There are many oppressed people globally, but the feeling for most first-world folks centers in the mind.

Let's look at the definition, discuss why many in the developed world feel this way - and how to correct it.

Definition of oppression
1a: unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power
b: excessive exercise of unfair power.
2: a sense of being weighed down in body or mind: depression = oppression of spirits

When I attach the feeling to most people's reality, there is one common theme, rationality.

We live in an overly rational world.

Too many self imposed borders, boundaries, limiting beliefs, insecurities, fears, and on and on.

Social media and other contributing factors are increasingly pushing us into shackles in our minds. We take "risks" by watching others take risks. We live vicariously through others rather than exploring our own deeply held passions and beliefs. We feel free in those moments, but we can feel powerless when we put the phone down.

We willingly give away our inner pull to expand the things about ourselves that make us unique. When we lack these elements, we struggle.

Not surprisingly, the immense pressure to conform is entirely within our heads.

It's that self-imposed pressure that makes us feel oppressed.

So, what are we to do?

Well, we can change our habits around social media.

More important is the recognition of what's happening. We must resist "rationality,” especially when we feel something we are deeply passionate about is "irrational."

When we see something that excites us as irrational, we are often listening to someone else. We’re allowing society, our inner critic, or our parents' voices to oppress us and our actions.

Push yourself to escape your comfort zone as often as you can.Over the last several years, I see comfort zones shrinking, tightening, and pinning people into a box.

Begin to expand in all directions with purpose.

Recognize the profound effects that creating your own experiences will have on you, and you can escape the feeling of oppression in no time at all.
Conditions will never be perfect.
You have to Conditions will never be perfect.

You have to move before you're ready.

Stop getting lost in the idea that you first need to silence the inner critic, overcome all fears, have a perfect mindset, and be in the optimal condition to succeed.

It's those that push forward despite headwinds that ultimately hit it big in their personal and professional growth.

I've added a foundational toolkit to the Life Unbound course to address many of the obstacles you'll encounter while building your dream. The tools are far more effective when used while in motion, not in a static vacuum of "personal growth" seeking.

1. People NEVER think they're ready; that's why many people get stuck—waiting for the perfect moment or mindset.
2. Where will you find the inspiration for real change without creating a powerful mission and vision for your future?
3. Dealing with fear/doubt and managing emotions are FAR more productive while you are in ACTION towards your dream. Sitting around talking about those issues all day won't take you very far. But connect to a purpose-driven mission, and you'll find many of these issues slip away automatically.

Left to your own devices, you rarely think you're "ready" to do big things.

It's stepping outside of your comfort zone that corrects many of your ailments.

If I always waited until things were ideal, I'd probably be nowhere near where I am today.

You have to move; you have to take the first step.

When that first foot hits firm footing, you'll start to have a little more faith in yourself.
